We Love Salisbury, too.

Extending beyond the immediate campus community, the citywide cleanup event sees students, campus organizations and other university members band together to help Salisbury at large. Volunteers work at locations across the city, including sites such as the Salisbury Zoo and the Salisbury City Park, assisting with various tasks and assignments for the general public's benefit.

This year, we are switching things up! I Love Salisbury will be in the FALL, and Big Event will be in the SPRING! However, no matter the time of year, we are always eager to support the Salisbury Community!

Signing Up? You're in the right place.

We welcome student organizations, individual students, alumni, community members, and all those who love our great city to join the annual I Love Salisbury community cleanup event. Organizations and students may sign up below once registration is available.

SCHEDULE

Registration & Check-In

Volunteer students and organizations will need to register before the event using the link above. Check-in will begin the day of I Love Salisbury at 9 a.m. in Red Square.

Location Assignments

Location assignments will be given during check-in. Volunteers will be assigned one or several sites based on size of the organization and scheduled activity.

Tools, Supplies & Transportation

All necessary tools and supplies, including rakes, trash bags and gloves, will be provided by the SGA, as well as free breakfast. Volunteers are encouraged to bring extra gloves. SafeRide services will be provided to volunteers who need transportation to sites.

Neighborhood Cleanup

Students go into the local Salisbury neighborhoods for I Love Salisbury, as a thank you to our neighbors who support SU! They help their surrounding community members by weeding, raking, and completing other outdoor projects!

Little League Clean-Up

Volunteers can help with the local Little League park in activities such as painting bleachers, trash pick-up, organizing sheds, and more!

Local Gardening Projects

Gardening projects throughout Salisbury neighborhoods, may be assigned to volunteers to assist with remodeling or cleaning of the site. This includes planting flowers, weeding, and more.

Dismissal

Volunteers will be dismissed by the SGA members designated to each site. Volunteers may be asked to help students and organizations finish activities at other sites if ahead of schedule.

Trash Bags & Tool Return

Filled trash bags will be left at each site to later be collected by the City of Salisbury. Tools and gloves provided by the SGA will need to be returned to the Scarborough Student Leadership Center by volunteers after being dismissed.
